Welcome to your session and prep guide – where allllll your questions will be answered and you’ll get all the details on how to be ready for your session with me. I am SO excited you’re here! This is the beginning of an incredible journey and I’m stoked I get to be your tour guide.
Maybe you already have the confidence of a rockstar and this is just icing on the cake. Or maybe you don’t see what I see. Maybe you look in the mirror and poke and prod while thinking “if only…”
This is your opportunity to dismiss those insecurities. to give yourself a new perspective.
This little guide will help you with some of the logistics of your shoot. What should you wear, where should you shop, how should you take care of yourself before your session. The little details that will help make your shoot successful.

WHERE TO SHOP
There are tons of great retailers that offer beautiful, high-quality lingerie. Here are a couple of my favorites.
From gorgeous bras/panties to bodysuits, corsets to bustiers – Hips & Curves offers a great selection for sizes 14-24.
A little bit of soft and a little bit of edgy, sometimes Torrid has great pieces that will photograph well!
Offering a size range from 30A to 44L, Playful Promises has tons to offer! Their pieces are great quality and you won’t be disappointed.
Looking for edgy? Look no further. This brand carries the top of the line pieces with thoughtful details that are sure to delight you.
Want to stand out? This brand has some of the most exquisitely designed pieces I’ve seen.

what to do before your session
PAMPERING
A mani/pedi is never a bad idea. Try to go for neutrals or jewel-tones when selecting polish – most importantly, keep coordination your wardrobe in mind.
If you wax (anywhere) make sure you do it at least days prior to your session to avoid redness in your photographs.
Do NOT spray tan or sun tan for at least a week prior to your session. Lines, streaking, spotting, etc. can result in costly additional retouching, which is not included in your investment.
Take Note: This is NOT the time to try something new. Maintain your normal grooming routine. For example, don’t do a facial the day before if you never do them, just in case you have a bad reaction. Don’t wax somewhere you don’t typically wax and risk an infection or super irritated skin.
Moisturize! Take a little extra care of your skin after showering.
SELF CARE
EAT. You may be tempted to go on a diet before your session. Don’t. You might be tempted not to eat before your session. DO. This might surprise you, but boudoir posing can be a lot like an intensive yoga session. Stretch lots the week of your session. You’ll thank me later.
Hydrate. Not only will you feel better, but this is a super quick and simple way to make sure your skin absolutely GLOWS.
WARDROBE
Say no to costumes. Trust me when I tell you that the outfit you bought was made to be ripped off, not photographed. They typically offer little to no support and don’t fill well.

DAY OF YOUR SESSION
Avoid wearing tight clothes, as they can leave indents and redness that will definitely show up in your images.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I’m really nervous...I don’t know how to pose...?
EVERYONE is always nervous. It’s my job to make sure you look amazing, feel comfortable, and have fun. It’s normal to have jitters, but I promise it will pass quickly!
I have spent years learning how to pose all bodies so that you walk away from your session feeling like a million bucks.
How much time should I plan for?
Sessions last between three to four hours. You’ll start by getting pampered with the hair and makeup styling. Your actual shoot time will last approximately one hour.
Can I upgrade or add-on to my collection?
Of course! You can upgrade your collection. I also offer individual and grouped wall art, novelty items (decks of cards, calendars, retro viewfinders and more).
What happens after my session?
It takes approximately 4-6 weeks to process your images after your session {hand airbrushing and enhancements}.
Once your images are ready, we will schedule a reveal appointment where you can come view your images and we design your products.
Orders should arrive within four weeks after your reveal.
What happens to my images?
Your images are one hundred percent private unless you say otherwise. Nothing is EVER shared without written consent. You are always in control of what is shared (if you decide to allow it), how it’s shared and where it’s shared.
How can I use my high resolution digital images?
With these images (and the printing release that I provide), you can make prints on your own, post the photos to social media, use them as a desktop background, etc. You may not assign copyright to another party or allow publication of your images (i.e. magazine publication) without my consent.
Is the professional hair and makeup optional?
No. Because hair and makeup styling for the camera is SO different from what you would expect to normally apply, it’s required (and included!) to have the professionals pamper you. Your makeup
may seem heavier than usual. You will probably be a little unsure when you first look in the mirror. But trust us – it is going to photograph really well!
How many images will I see at my reveal?
I guarantee a minimum of 50 images for you to select from during your reveal. The number of images you take home depends on your collection choice.
